Hello and welcome to my blog!
My name is Joanne Leith and I live in Reading, UK. I work as a food stylist and home economist for several TV cookery shows and cookbooks. I get to work with a lot of celebrity chefs, and I love it!
I have been a vegetarian for 10 years. Vegetarian food, like all food, can get a bit dull if you stick to the same old recipes, so I want to share with you classic as well as unusual recipes from all around the world. I think they’ll add a bit of variety to your repertoire.
Hope you like my tried-and-tested recipes! Please feel free to leave comments and queries.
Thank you!

What a FUN site! Found you though Heidi’s 101 Cookbooks, and I know for certain I’m bookmarking this! As well as sending to my daughter… We both get bored with the same old, same old stuff and love all world ethnic foods. Thanks for making this available – we can travel again without leaving home, or updating the passport.

BTW I am from India. I’m telling you that because I feel one of the purposes of a blog would be to connect with people over the globe & youve just done that across approx 5000 kms
Your comment on Heidis blog caught my eye. I will be starting my blog soon too & I know how exciting it will feel to receive comments

Hi Jo,
I finally managed to make it onto your site, and I am kicking myself for waiting so long. I love the eductaional aspect of it! You have a lovely way of teaching without sounding like a ‘know it all’.
Best of luck for 2009 (not that you need it with your power meal of lentils and noodles) and hope to meet up soon!
Jolly wishes,
Kelly

Hi Joanne — great site, and beautiful photographs!
Would it be possible for me to use your turkish delight recipe in a book that I am working on? (Is there an email address I can contact you at to explain more?)
Thanks!

Thanks Jeff. Received your email, but for some reason I have been having problems sending you an email – it doesn’t seem to be getting through.
Yes, feel free to use the recipe, but please credit it to my name, Joanne Leith of Globalveggie recipe blog, or http://globalveggie.wordpress.com.
I’m pleased that you have been inspired by the recipe! Good luck with the book.
Many thanks.
